Singing and dance competition TeenStar’s national vote is for acts that do not make it through to the next round of the singing and dance competitions live shows. TeenStar have introduced the national text vote option, which gives acts one last opportunity to progress to the next round in the form of a national public text vote. There is one wildcard place up for grabs from each region, and acts have just two weeks to gain as many votes as possible to make it through to the next round of the singing and dance competitions live shows.
All acts that don’t make it through at a live show will be allocated an individual wildcard number which will be displayed on this page so the public can vote for the act they’d like to see be given another chance to get their music heard. On the Friday after each Regional Final a leaderboard of the five acts with the most votes will be posted. The leaderboard will then be updated again on the Monday and Tuesday before voting closes at midday on the Wednesday one week after your Regional Final. Thereafter, the top placed act in the National Vote will be advised of their place in the next round of the singing and dance competition.
There are 20,000 visitors to the TeenStar website each week but acts can also promote their wildcard number themselves to get extra votes, ie through social media, blogs and by emailing their fan-bases.
In previous years wildcard winners have gone all the way to the National Grand Final. The wildcard gives acts the opportunity to progress to the next round and fight another day, and ultimately get the chance to perform at the National Grand Final in a bid to be crowned TeenStar Champion!
