Michael Rice Competing in Eurovision 2019
Former TeenStar contestant Michael Rice will represent the United Kingdom at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv this Saturday.
Twenty-six nations will be competing to be crowned Eurovision champion.
Michael told the BBC, “I’ve got my game face on, and I’m ready to go out and give the best performance.”

The Hartlepool-born singer’s success continues after coming runner-up in TeenStar in 2013. He later appeared on X Factor in 2014 and then won the BBC TV show All Together in 2018.
About this years power ballad ‘Bigger Than Us’, Michael said, “We need to pick the right songs and get more talented musicians involved to get the UK back to the top, where we were.”
‘Bigger Than Us’ was written by Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, John Lundvik and Jonas Thander.

Michael came runner up at TeenStar in 2013 at The O2, behind the winner Luke Friend.

The 21-year-old singer recently told Lorraine Kelly, “I’m just going to go in there and belt out that song, sing my heart out and hope for the best.”
