Kezziah - Great image! You most definitely suited your chosen genre. There was a need to warm into the track and you need to give attention to overall audience connection and communication – try to develop this further, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers and click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing.
Mary Beth - You held the pace well and sang with vocal security. Give thought to what to do in the non-singing parts, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Its fair to say the delivery was affected by a general tentativeness today - Would like to see what you can do when more assured and confident, click here for advice on how to overcome the nerves. There is definitely more there!
Chloe - Lovely tone, with room for just a little more technical polish with more voice coaching. There was also a natural stage presence with the beginnings of expression and dynamic shape. Your image needs to work with your chosen style though - try and establish a clearer identity here, click here for advice on music synergy and image. Remember also the key part of your performance is to enjoy it!
April - This performance settled, and you gave consideration to image. You might need more of a commercial edge and greater projection in your vocals which voice coaching can help with, but this was a secure delivery overall. Would want to see you again with more modern material. Try and maintain your energy throughout your performance as you seemed to lose energy as you went on.
Maite - Great voice! Awesome accompaniment on keys, there was a definite hint of emotion in delivery style, and clear understanding of communication stylistically. Really enjoyed the original – can see a future here within the song writing industry. As a singer who is accompanied by an instrument, remember you have less opportunity to use the stage so try to find other ways to connect with the audience and maximize your stage presence., click here for advice on performing with musical keyboards.
Laura-Rose - This was a polished display in your chosen genre, full of personality, clear ability and confidence. Fantastic stage presence also! We liked the image and audience engagement which added authenticity. Technically strong, there is much to like about this performance Laura-Rose - very good indeed!
Into the Wilderness - This was a committed performance with effective accompaniment. Great song choice and well delivered also. You performed consistently with a lot of energy and the communication between you was great – don’t lose this!
Laura Robinson - An inventive arrangement, with individual tone and expressive personality. Really liked your performance and would want to see you again with original material and perhaps a clearer identity image wise, click here for advice on music synergy and image. Occasionally a bit pitchy, but voice coaching can help with that and the backing track could be better standard, but good potential here.
Rosie - Lovely tone! You showed a great ability to convey the mood, you were vocally secure in the main and the performance improved towards the end. Liked the fact that you performed a different version of the song and delivered convincingly. Well done.
Chanel - Amazing image which really worked for you! The delivery started out just a little pitchy but was fantastic in the chorus. There is definitely something about you Chanel, one of the few which scored very highly across all judges. Well done!
Zara - Outstanding tone! Unfortunately, we couldn’t help but think there was an issue with confidence which detracted overall, click here for advice on how to overcome the nerves. The performance also seemed a bit short. We are not sure you did justice to the performance, despite the fab vocals, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Do believe in yourself and enjoy your performance – you’re great!
Sofia - You created and sustained the mood really well Sofia. Try to use more of the stage – we just felt you could have had greater presence here, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. There is more to you than the performance suggested, but a good delivery nevertheless. Would like to see again with a wider repertoire and greater belief.
Charlie - You demonstrated great control of pace and a good sense of timing and phrasing. Aim for greater support and consistency of pitch, which voice coaching can help you with. There is no doubt that you have a beautiful voice and captured the moment. You also perform with convincing communication also. Do keep working on the technical elements to be even better.
Kenza - We could see what you were trying to achieve, and there is much potential here. You do need to try to package together a clearer stylistic identity though, click here for advice on music synergy and image. Try and tighten up on timing and develop a stronger sense of performance too, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Keep working on it – definitely something there!
Emily - Just so close! Emily – you nearly have the whole package, but it needs greater stage presence and more vocal polish, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Your performance impressed the judges and you scored well with the judges, but do spend a little more time building confidence – it will really show!
Olivia Callaghan - Your vocal was powerful (stronger in the louder parts) and with advice and thought to material, we can see you developing into a viable act, click here for tips on good audition songs. Watch the ending though – it was a bit abrupt today. Try to increase performance skills and stage presence, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers.
Olivia Crawford - You could go far in this competition and beyond Olivia! There was clear understanding of image and expression, with skill in performance and an instinctive portrayal of lyrics. We liked the accompaniment and stage presence was convincing. Good luck in the final!
Ella Jay - Great vocal! You need to have massive conviction to fill this song and you are 95% there. Keep building your top range, but you had an ambitious plan to show off your ability and stand out above the rest. We think you did that. Well done!
Will Silver - Wonderful tone to your voice, it really added depth to your original song. The song itself was really well put together. A quote from one of our judges ‘’don't look too worried Will, you are good!’. Remember, you have to find different ways of connecting with the audience due to playing an instrument so click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. But all in all a great performance!
Iman - This was a considered delivery, clearly prepared and attention was given to image. The overriding challenge is to strengthen your pitching, which voice coaching can help with, click here for advice on vocal coaches. You need to address this before you can fully build on the other skills which are clearly developing.
Holly Bowman - Well delivered song, slightly pitchy in parts but we think that was down to your nerves, click here for advice on how to overcome the nerves. Try and enjoy the moment and believe in yourself - it does show in your performance. Keep learning, growing and gaining the experience all of which will make you into a more rounded singer!
Leah - Very well performed! All the judges commented on how full of energy your performance was! It was great to see you interact with the audience so consistently. Vocals need slight work and development, but we believe there’s great potential! Keep going and we hope to see you in future shows.
Samantha - Not too much to add to this performance, it was tight - we liked the conviction and control within your vocals, and you have such a great range! A very striking image too! Do remember to smile though - enjoying your performance is a key thing. You were just great and on another day would have made it into the final!
