Ashleigh – This girl just comes alive when she gets on stage! The stage performance conveys confidence and movement and use of the stage strong. Great theatrical performance, just take care as you develop to find yourself and your personality on stage. Fabulous outfit! Bags of confidence.

Bahar – A strong committed performance, make sure you don’t perform too far away from the front on the stage, in particular so you aren’t in the lighting shadows. You picked a difficult song choice but did it justice well done! Very natural performer and solid vocal tone. Aim for a greater individual colour, make yourself more commercial.

Talent Contest Feedback

Beau - Wow! Amazing vocal. Such a strong vocal performance and such maturity sounded as good as anything in the West End. Could look to develop your facial expression and conveying the emotion in the eyes of the song. You’ve built a solid foundation for yourself here. Excellent control.

Becky Holmes – Lovely vocals and show them off even more need to use music dynamics to really emphasis the strength of your vocal in the chorus. Confident on the guitar and not too much looking down, just look to perform more. Also click here for when or when not to ask for audience participation. More please! Would like to hear you do a different song!

Breeze – A haunting original, so great to see you writing songs at such a young age.  This shows so much potential and will only get better! An excellent original song. Really like the story behind the song. You were ace!

Brooke Gess – Liked that you made the song your own and a change from the original with a nice change up to give it a lift. Don’t forget to get the mic off the stand so we connect even more with you on stage. Beautiful dress, you look lovely! Be careful with the timing of the backing track. Great song choice.

Caitlin – You looked fantastic and used the stage well. Your sung it beautifully, the only problem with doing a theatrical number is it is difficult to demonstrate personality and originally. You’re like a young Joss Stone! Everyone loves Disney, good effort! Would have loved to see you move around more.

Chloe Hackett – Always comes on stage with such confidence. Don’t forget to use your range and dynamics more rather than pushing throughout and losing a little control. Don’t forget to use the stage and take the mic off the stand, click here for stage presence advice. You look so happy on stage. Try to make the song your own when you next perform, bring your own originality to the performance.

TeenStar 2015 – National Grand National

Courtney Hadwin – Bags of potential but you need to not overuse your natural vibrato, use it more sparingly and it suddenly becomes an asset. Song choice maybe put too much pressure on you click here for good audition songs.  Nice use of the stage with the right song choice you can see the ability is there and it would be a completely different story. Bags of interpretation and individual orientation. Don’t forget to try to look like you’re enjoying it.

David France – Funky song choice, don’t over rely on the crowd for a response as that can be a risk on certain occasions, although the crowd loved you click here for more on audience participation. A very confident and committed performance. Didn’t need a transition of two songs click here for more on creating a music mashup. The crowd really liked you! Such a performer!

Ellie Grace – Nice idea with the mobile lights, looked great as you looked back at the audience. Song choice was a very good one; just don’t rely too much on the audience for participation. Going forward more performance will build the confidence even more. Great effort to engage initially. Would like to see more of you in the performance!

Evan – Song suited you perfectly great song choice which really showed off the sweeter tone in your vocals. Good use of stage for an overall hugely enjoyable performance. You looked like you belong up there. You’re definitely one to keep an eye on.

Freddie Hunter – Freddie’s strength is he’s charming has a personality and cheeky presence just needs to convey that same colour in his vocal and he has huge potential. Nothing wrong vocally but needs more character and distinction. A very enjoyable performance. A real showman.

Freya Kelly – Great presence and such confidence. Great song choice to show off your voice but also to have movement. Performed the song so well! Sassy! You had everyone’s attention throughout the whole performance. Very mature performance considering your age group.

Jada Autumn – An understandable nervy performance but more performances on these sort of stages will build your confidence. When you relaxed you really showed what you have potentially! Fantastic image! Glimmers of pure emotion in here. Stunning outfit.

Jessica May Frost – The stage performance conveys confidence and movement. Great theatrical performance just take care as you develop to find yourself and your personality on stage as you have a super vocal. Cute, lovely outfit. A very confident performance. Impressive range.

Jessie – Super impact as soon as you came onto the stage. Good use of the stage and coming to the front to connect with your audience. Great power and velocity in your vocal! Strong voice. Deserved your place in the final. Brilliant vocal control.

Music Industry Feedback for Pre-Teens

Keira Swift – Such a rich vocal! Loved that you made the song your own. Remember to use that stage click here for more on stage presence. Excellent vocal control and fabulous song choice. Simply beautiful.

Lashayah – You have bags of ability but the song was a little dated and you needed to bring more dynamics to make it work. You have however throughout the competition demonstrated such potential. Well committed, powerful and engaging. Your styling is right on point!

Liberty – Loved the original and you connected well with the song. Getting better and better!! Super breakdown/rap section. Bags of confidence and a good delivery! Love your style, especially the hair.

Matilda – Facial expression is so important but take care  to not overcook the expression just need to reign it in a bit to be more natural and although us to believe you. Look back at the footage and perfect. Really liked the performance. Charismatic and happy performance. Lovely rich tones in your voice.

Mattie Elliott – Remember to maintain eye contact more with your audience rather than have them shut. Vocally you saved your best for the Final. Confident with almost a menacing attitude on stage. Good delivery and interpretation. Strong look. Didn’t expect that voice coming!

Maya Lane – Super vocal and great to see you writing your own material. Keep writing and developing the writing as you have the potential to be a really strong song writer. Soulful song that began well. You should be very proud of your performance. Great to perform an original song.

Feedback for Pre-Teens at the Talent Contest TeenStar 2015

Millie-Mae – A very believable performance and you looked fantastic. Loved the version which you made your own and loved the character in your vocal with a good finale. Fabulous dress! Lovely vocals- would love to see again.

Sophia Pulizzi – Good use of the stage and you performed well. Not convinced it was the right song choice to really show both your personality and vocals off to their best potential. Catchy song- just need to watch your vocal timing. Good for presence on stage.

Sophie Mae – You have a lovely vocal without having to push the vocal too hard and loose slight control. Good use of the stage in the latter stages. Styling is on point. Loved the song choice. Would have liked to see more energy brought to the performance.

Sparkle – Loved the image and always well-practiced and rehearsed which will always lead to great opportunities going forward. Excellent styling. Good harmonies. The choreography was good, well done girls.

Tazmin Barnes – You have great charisma and convey the emotional so well in the eyes. Just calm the walking on the stage a little. Would like to see more of your personality shine through! A masterclass on how to do it.

Zoe Mikaela - Don’t perform so deep on the stage otherwise you cast yourself into the light shadows. A different song choice which was great. Looked like you were very natural and enjoyed yourself although don’t over use the arm waiving!
