Rachael Matthams – Great power to your voice. Settled down after a nervy start. Remember to get that mic as close to your mouth as possible for consistency of projection and volume. Unfortunate that you forgot some of the lyrics but well done for carrying on as would have brought more attention to yourself by stopping.
Megan Williams – Nice sultry song choice however watch your diction as wasn’t so clear throughout the performance, click here for more on singing diction as you have a lovely tone. Would love to hear some original music from you. Lovely dynamics. Lovely movement really suited the song.
Lauren Spencer – Nice tone. Strong voice, lots of energy. I can see you feel the song. Liked you really brought an image, click here for tips on music synergy and image. Take care not to be too shouty and lose your vocal control. Liked you made the song your own click here for more on how to do music covers.
Barnaby – Strong vocals. Great tone. Really interesting take on this song choice. You have a lovely tone but the tempo and timing seemed a little inconsistent, it was all a bit raw you have the ability but need to develop a number of areas. Click here for more on microphone techniques, stick close to that mic for the most consistent projection.
Kyran Smith – Brave to do your performance acappella. Very impressive. Well done for not letting the backing track affect you, these things happen! Must get closer to the mic to for fill consistency of volume, click here for more on microphone techniques. Never stop it just highlights the fact you’ve lost the trail, just keep going!
Treble – Love the harmonies. Look a bit more interested guys, perform as an act to show connecting; the odd glance and/or smile, you felt very detached from each other, click here for tips on singing groups.
Tia J – Great emotion. You have lots of ability, always make sure you warm up fully click here for tips on singing warm ups. When practicing and performing look to develop your mic control so you are projecting to your maximum velocity, click here for microphone techniques. Well worked performance starting on the stool then working the stage but don’t be frightened to commit even more to the performance.
Danielle Kidd – Lovely vocals and tone. You conveyed good emotion in the eye but remember it doesn’t have to be just pain and sorrow you can convey but hope, elation and utopia. Need to add more dynamics both with your performance and vocally as it’s all a bit on one level, click here for music dynamics.
Rea – Stunning image and vocals. Good song choice, it suited you. Lovely character and rasp to your vocal. Commit more to the performance. Great to see you perform a creative cover click here for more on how to do music covers. Loved the way you had the ability to swing the vocal. Really own the stage and you’ll have the full package.
Lauren Somerville – Song is a good one but commit to convey the emotion in the song more, you seemed to miss an opportunity in the instrumental section, click here for things to do during the instrumentals. Need to try and marry the emotion in the song to the emotions you are expressing click here for more on facial expressions and gestures whilst singing.
Nicole – Great personality and lively upbeat performance. I think you would hugely benefit from breaking the song down and working out what you want to achieve dynamic wise, click here for more on music dynamics. Also as a guitar player you have to express just as much so don’t forget to perform with the guitar, click here for stage performance tips.
Matlinda – You’ve got such a calming voice. Song choice is massive and ideally you want to pick a song that shows off the best sounding tone in your vocal range, it felt like in that respect it wasn’t. Click here for more on good audition songs. You have a big stage look to use it all click here for improving stage presence.
Aidan – You are very likeable with a good voice. So much potential. Like the acoustic vibe. Nice sound to the guitar but essential the guitarist keeps the flow going so doesn’t affect the tempo and vocalist flow. Together as performers work the dynamics of the song more to build to a strong finish, click here for more on music dynamics.
Jade Middleton – Great control in vocals. Lovely tone and intonation. Good vocal projection, with better mic control if would give even more of an edge. Liked the way you emphasised certain top notes to make it your own, just take care not to over use it and lose the effect you intend click here for more on how to do music covers. Good use of emotion.
Charlie Steggall – You have a great look! Good vocals and guitar work. You have bags of ability but look to work the dynamics to keep it interesting throughout. Click here for more on facial expressions and gestures whilst singing.
Olivia Haggarty – Very powerful, original song. You conveyed lots of emotion within the song and performance. Lovely projection and control. Good mic technique and use of performance space. Not too sure about the song choice, click here for more on good audition songs. Beautiful tone – star in the marking.
Emma Hardy – Fun song choice! The transitions are great. Don’t stop! Keep going! The performance didn’t show us much about you as an individual, click here for more on how to do music covers. You could have extended both range and tone to give a much more dynamic performance!
Anna Jones – Lovely voice! You have a really clear diction to your vocal. Look to develop other areas such as facial expression to convey the emotion in the song, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing and how to sing with emotion.
Olivia Davies – Lovely image! Strong vocals and a strong core to your vocal, look to work the dynamics to use the power more sparingly and thus with more affect. You have all the power, you just need to know when to unleash so perhaps look to develop the dynamics and control, click here for more on music dynamics.
Calvin Glen – Great song choice. Really showed off what you can do. Big improvement vocally, you can only get better! Liked the appropriate image and vocally you had good power. However it didn’t show us much of you as an individual as you performed a character.
Rachel Ann – This girl had the voice of the day; tone and power with character and a richness that gave us a touch of magic. Loved the song choice. Was not expecting that voice. Amazing control and range. It’s a skill to sing and play, well done! Click here for performing with musical keyboards.
Francesca – You performed the stage with real commitment for an overall polished performance. Take care not to over push the vocal. Perfect song choice for your vocal. Just be careful not to shout and to project, click here for voice projection. Great use of movement.
Dan Francis – Great vocals and ability. Good image. You picked a good song to cover. You would benefit from adding in more varied projection and tone to give greater dynamics. Would like to hear you do a different genre for the next round to show us what you’re really capable of, click here for good audition songs.
Tom Piner – Great current voice. Strong intro. The emotion came through well in the song. Great song choice! Don’t let your guitar keep you rooted to the spot; you need to work out how to perform with it, click here for stage performance tips.
Beth De Bacci – Good song and a mature performance well worked. Click here for stage performance tips with the guitar just commit more to the performance and expression of the emotion. Smooth husky tones and expressive face! You really showed us your vocal ability! Enjoyed the lyrics in the song.
Charlie Woodford – You have a lovely vocal tone and the song has a good melody however it is very cliché, try and focus on writing songs that are a little different and people can relate too in everyday life. At points your lyrics weren’t always clear, work on your diction for the next round, click here for singing diction.
