Jodie Curtis – Difficult with a broken arm to express the emotions with your body language but think about the expression facially, click here for more on facial expression and gestures whilst singing. Vocally you have a nice tone but look to work on strengthening your projection to be even better, click here for voice projection. Come back again next year, with more practice you’ll be one to watch.
Debs Matthews – Unique voice. You have a lovely tone but look to use that stage with more purpose, click here for more on stage performance tips. Loved the song choice. Good connection to the song’s emotion, just take care to not push the vocal.
Jessica Robyn – Lovely tone. Nice delivery of the song. Lovely image. Look to focus the expression and emotion within the song rather than just focusing on concentrating on the performance. More performance will develop this and built this confidence, click here for stage performance tips.
Tessie D – You unfortunately started in the wrong key, so look to perform as much as you can to get used to performing with monitors and on stage. A good vocal coach will also help you make sure under pressure you’re tuning is spot on, click here for the importance of vocal training. Liked that you added performance moves but don’t be frightened to commit even more to the performance. You got much stronger towards the end of the performance.
Sophie Rudd – Good strong voice! A few pitching issues crept in. You had a lovely smiling face throughout the performance don’t ever lose that but look to work in other facial expression, click here for more on facial expression and gestures whilst singing. Also look to work that stage well, click here for stage performance tips. Remember not to force the vocal and lose the control which you did at the end.
Issy Rose – Great to see you give so much thought to the image, you looked amazing, click here for tips on music synergy and image. Lovely tone and great emotion! You used expression well but don’t be frightened to take the mic off the stand and use the stage more to connect us to the audience even more. Good song, keep it up!
Leah Jewel – Brave performance. So much potential for a girl of 7! Plenty of time to develop, first thing to consider is song choice as it’s quite a popular choice, click here for tips on good audition songs. The song was really too big for you to fully control which in time will develop if you work with a good vocal coach. Keep singing to gain more experience! One for the future.
Alicia Hannam – Very confident! Loved that your personality shone through in your voice. You have a great tone but to maximise that projection think about using that mic to be most effective, click here for more on microphone techniques. You do need to make sure you don’t push that vocal and lose that control. Both areas to develop can be assisted greatly by a good vocal coach, click here for the importance of vocal training.
Morgan Gascoigne – Beautiful voice, can imagine it on the radio. Loved the song choice. Lots of potential but look to keep developing and in particular projection you have a lovely tone but would benefit from more power and range, click here for voice projection. More performance to help you express the emotion in the song. If you force the vocal you will lose control click here for singing warm ups.
Mattie Elliott - Great ability. Was not expecting that! Your range is amazing! Very difficult to be individual when performing a part as opposed to being individual. Going forward watch your mic control, click here for more on microphone techniques and watch your vocal control don’t force the vocal at the expense of control, click here for vocal techniques.
Scarlett Harris – Lovely vocals and personality. Remember to perform as soon as you come on the stage, you were a bit emotionless. Click here for more on facial expression and gestures whilst singing and click here for more on stage performance tips. You have good vocal ability but you now need to translate that into conveying emotion.
S Jay – Liked the image. Beautiful falsetto! Really improved from last time! The song choice was a brave one and at times you are on point but you need to focus on all the notes as you lose tuning on occasions. As always commit more to the performance take the mic off the stand and move around, even when you threw the glitter you need to give it more. Dancer was a nice backdrop and worked well.
Sophia Pulizzi – Liked the original song showed a lot of character and individuality. The transition between playing guitar and just singing can be clumsy and consider carefully performing over a backing track. The original song was very catchy. That emotion was great. Good use of the stage well thought out. Make sure you work the dynamics in your voice, click here for music dynamics.
Lily Moram – Confident performance! Good song choice. You have lots of power vocally just learn to use it to be most effective firstly better mic control and pulling away the mic on the high notes click here for more on microphone techniques and better music dynamics altering the tone and volume would also create that real wow factor!
Harriet – Great lyrics and voice. Good tuning. Lots of ability, but try to not look down too much at the keys and connect the emotion to the audience. Click here for performing with musical keyboards, which relies more on facial expression and head movement to stand out.
Gemma Mills – Great vocal ability. Liked that you moved around the stage but look to give the movement more purpose. Song choice is so important and you delivered the high notes but the adlibs and bridge sections you were going out of tune, click here for more on good audition songs.
Alice Joy – Beautiful vocals. Very attractive image. Great to see you perform with the keys but you need to develop that so you can lose looking down at the keys for expressing the emotion and engaging with the audience, click here for tips on engaging the audience. The key work also slowed down the tempo which the song didn’t suit as well.
Amelia Gonzalez – A very popular song and great to pick a song you like and connect with but if you do then connect us to the emotion of the song, so look to develop that, click here for tips on how to sing with emotion. Great you took the mic off the stand and moved around the stage. The performance got better as the song went on but at times your control over the vocal let you down.
Alex Higgins – Great energy. Nice song structure. Great interpretation. The guitar work was very good for his age but make sure it doesn’t over take the vocals and focusing on delivering them as the main thing. Look to work dynamics to express your vocals and the chorus to their best, click here for more on music dynamics. Interesting tone!
Alexander – Great song choice. Get into it! We all know your nervous but leave the expression of nerves inside or to the side of the stage, you looked nervy and a massive sigh before you started is showing your focus as an individual which is understandable but it is a performance. You need to learn the art of acting a performance.
Julia Beckins – You have bags of ability but you must remain focused on your timing and tuning. A good vocal coach will be able to assist you develop projection, control and timing click here for the importance of vocal training. Good song choice!
