Issy Rose – You have a beautiful voice! Lovely, smooth tone. Song choice wise, we would have liked to hear a more modern song or given a more modern twist click here for more on how to do music covers. Liked that you took the mic off the stage and worked the stage. Great to also see you worked so hard on your image, it paid off; click here for tips on music synergy and image.
Theresa Delaney – Such a passionate performance. You always bring great personality to the performance. Remember to work that stage more, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Vocally, you’re getting better and better (well done), still a little bit of control required when you know you need to go for the big notes!
Izzy Jobson – Nice confident performance. Liked the acoustic version of the Jess Glynne song, you made it different click here for more on how to do music covers. Liked that you worked the stage, but you just needed a bit more commitment both vocally and performance wise. Look to work with a good vocal coach to build up that power, click here for information about vocal coaches at River Studios.
Kayna – Good connection to the song and your vocal diction was really clear, click here for more on singing diction. Liked the song choice you obviously conveyed the passion and emotion in the song well. Just look to work on working that stage and adding more stage craft to the performance, click here for ways to improve your stage presence. You have an incredible, unique voice.
Shalamar Baker – Another good song choice! Great to see acts reading the feedback from previous rounds. So important to be yourself as an act and show us as much originality as you can. You also worked the dynamics well, ramping up the commitment to the performance as you progressed. Vocally, you have a lovely tone to complete an overall impressive performance. Maybe try to pick a more cheerful song next time so we can hear more of your vocal, click here for good audition songs.
Fintan – It’s right to perform your own original, but of course we are then judging your song as well as your performance, which means it either really works well for you or not. On this occasion it worked for you! You have bags of ability and good tone. Just look to get more stage miles under the belt to really perfect the timing and conveying that emotion within the song even better, click here for how to sing with emotion.
Charlotte Newman – A very brave introduction which hopefully will give you loads of confidence going forward. Remember to work the stage even more, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. Song choice was good!
Alicia Hannam – Lovely image. It looked well-rehearsed and it was a great idea to have a guitarist backing up the performance. However, the song choice is so important and it didn’t suit the sweeter tone in your vocal range and seemed to be a struggle to stay in key for it. Get the song choice right and we will see a massive difference as you have the talent, click here for good audition songs.
Morgan Gascoigne – Brave choice of song choice but it’s always a good idea to sing a male vocal if you want to be original as you are forced to change the key in the large part. You worked the stage well but commit more to the expression, click here for tips on facial expression and gestures whilst singing. Make sure you don’t force the vocal and lose your control as you did towards the end.
Scarlett Harris – You have loads of ability, but steer clear from iconic songs we’ve heard so many times as you will always come off second best to the orginal artist, click here for tips on good audition songs. Also make sure you give equal commitment to all the notes and make them clear click here for more on singing diction.
Bahar – The song was perfect for you and you have improved so much from the regional final. You connected well to the song and it suited your range as you have a husky power. Don’t forget to take the mic off the stand and work the stage, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers. You bought out the emotion to the song so well, we almost cried!
Poppy Godwin – Great song choice! You have a lovely tone; look to vary the tone and delivery, click here for more on music dynamics. Where you are static with guitar and mic you need to consider subtle movement with your body and more expression click here for more on facial expression and gestures whilst singing.
Amelie – You had good facial expressions but you lost opportunity at the start to give impact and you didn’t give the change up in the song or the commitment it needed. The song has a lot of movement and needs you to move around on stage. You have the ability, just need to consider the song carefully and what you want to achieve from the performance. Watch your timing, click here to see how to you can work with a good vocal coach at River Studios.
Mattie Elliott – You have the confidence; just take care not to overcook it. Vocally you have bags of ability, but try to commit more to the performance. You bought so much attitude to this performance which was fitting of the song choice, it was great! A star in the making!
Alex Higgins – Good commitment to the performance, your guitar work was at times sharp, just slow down as came across a little rushed in places, click here for more on music dynamics. Remember to let the performance and song breathe. Loads of energy in the performance, which was nice to see!
Alice Joy – You committed well to the performance, but click here for when to and not ask for audience participation. Certainly don’t over rely on it, use it sparingly. Song choice wasn;t the best, click here for good audition songs. Well done for tying your image in with the stage performance though.
Harriet – A very inspirational song! It’s right to perform you own original, but of course we are then judging your song as well as your performance which means it either really works well for you or not. The song has potential but you could look to develop the dynamics to drive through the chorus click here for more on music dynamics. Playing and singing can be a difficult thing to master, click here for more on performing with musical keyboards.
Sophia Pulizzi – It’s definitely the right decision to perform your own song, but it then shifts from us judging your performance to your song as well, so it has to be spot on. The song has potential but could look to develop the dynamics to drive through the chorus click here for more on music dynamics. You worked the stage well now add more expression to convey the emotion in the song. Also make more of the hook in the vocal adlib as it’s catchy! Definite star quality in this performance!
Hazel – Great hair to give you a great look, click here for the importance of music synergy and image. You have good tone and solid guitar playing. Just look to give us even more movement and expression, click here for more on facial expression and gestures whilst singing. A strong performance though.
