Neena – You have a lovely vocal but you need to commit more to the performance. Use that stage and look to give more expression to the emotion in the song, click here for advice on stage performance tips for singers. Nice personality opening the show and good pitching and breathing on your notes. Work on improving your microphone techniques, click here for more on microphone techniques. Overall performance got better and better as the song went on.
Abby Huett – Worked the stage very well, well done for performing and not just singing. However your interaction with the audience was very good but overpowered your vocals at times. Don’t lose that smile as it is always engaging for the artist. Need to watch your mic control, click here for advice on microphone techniques. and click here for when to or when not too ask for audience participation. You had a great style and image.
Paige Mullin – A confident performance on a sensitive song choice, which you used the stage well. Areas to develop mic control, click here for advice on microphone techniques and bringing more emotion and colour to the performance, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. You have potential as you have a good voice and it was a very good song choice. Performing more will help you overcome and learn how to hide the nerves.
Lauren Star – Nice tone and power to your vocal. Song choice is so important and singing such an iconic song by such an iconic singer is always a decision to be strongly considered, click here for tips on good audition songs. Performance wise you used the stage well but loose the pony kick as it looks over staged. Very good performances but watch your mic technique, click here for more on microphone techniques. A great attitude and great styling,
Tazmin Barnes – You have a super tone and lots of potential, but you are at times shortening the note due to your breathing and running out of breath. Look to work on your breathing technique to give even more power to the vocals. You gave good emotion and connection to the song. Also good change up with the song to keep us interested throughout. Incredible confidence which came across on stage and beautifully sung so well done. Excellent choice of song.
Brooke Gess – Great song choice and nice unique vocal - bags of potential! Keep focused on the words and connection to the emotion of the song. Really good performance, just a shame about the lyric slip up. A good sound though, with work you would improve dramatically with a few basics. A lovely voice with great style too.
Trinity – Lovely vocals and you connected really well with the song, but it was not an over challenging song choice, click here for tips on good audition songs. Look to add more expression and colour to the performance too, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. Fab styling though maybe try to use the stage more. Work on your breathing to help with the lower notes. Your confidence grew as the song went on.
Sophie Elise – You have such a clean and crisp vocal along with a really smiley manner. Don’t lose that smile but also remember what you are singing about so the performance and emotion needs to reflect more of this sadness combined with optimism when appropriate. Adding these dynamics would have maintained the interest visually. The first act to come on to stage with a beaming big smile. You were great to watch live.
Daisy Mae – Great vocal tone, however the guitar work could have been a little cleaner. Although you are static as you are playing the guitar it’s still important to give movement to the performance. Lots of potential though so keep it up and try to polish your performance. Good to see an instrument in this age category. Would love to see you smile more to engage with the audience more, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing.
Zoe Mikaela – This is currently the song of the moment so take care not to not pick songs that are so popular, click here for tips on good audition songs. Vocally you can feel a power and presence beyond your years and an unique tone that will bring interest for people to work with you. An individual voice but felt that a better song choice would have been the way forward. A good mic technique at times. A powerful voice though so well done.
Reuben de Maid – Such ability for someone so young. Look to work that stage more rather than remain too central, click here for advice on stage performance tips for singers. Just take care to not push the vocal too hard and lose control at times. Very talented and natural with a good image. Invest in a vocal coach as you could go far!
Miriam – You have good vocal power and tone. A slightly poor song choice in the sense that it is hard to compare to the original artist when they are such an iconic singer, click here for tips on good audition songs. Great connection with the stage. There was a lovely intensity about you. Sounded fantastic when you were in full voice, but you need to work on quieter sections.
G.A.P. Radiance – Thought the vocal intro needed more impact and was perhaps not as strong as the other singers on display today. Performance wise there is loads of ability here but it’s all a bit messy, you need to work on tightening your performance up. Visually there is a lot going on which is great so keep it on stage. A breath of fresh air though, certainly put a smile on our faces, so well done.
Oakley Orchard – A lovely tone and at times you connected well with the emotion in the song. It got better as the performance went on. More performance will give you greater consistency. Awesome performance with a great look and confidence shining through at all times.
Finn Allen – Mic control needs to improve and you need more variation in your performance, click here for more on microphone techniques. Give it more dynamics to keep us interested throughout, click here for tips on music dynamics. A very confident performance though with excellent stage presence and good delivery.
Hannah – You have a powerful vocal but try and steer away from the more popular songs and artists, click here for tips on good audition songs. and click here for more on being creative with a cover. Add more dynamics to give more depth to the performance and try to engage more with the audience. A few vocal issues but keep it going.
Carmen Marie – Could see what you wanted to do but you need to commit more to the performance. Better mic control would have given you more consistency and greater projection too, click here for more on microphone techniques.
Phoebe Anderson – A jolly song choice which was great, once selected you need to bring everything about the performance in line; a committed and fun performance along with appropriate expression. More performances will help you develop this. You have plenty of charisma on stage, so well done. A very fun performance and good delievery.
Thomas Dunleavy – Lots of ability, but try and bring in more light and colour to the song as it felt all a bit shouty at times, click here for tips on music dynamics. A very confident song however try and not to push too much.
Naomi – You would achieve greater projection if you held the mic a lot closer to your mouth, click here for more on microphone techniques. Also look to develop your dynamics to give the performance a bit more life, click here for tips on music dynamics. Strong vintage look and good eye contact with the audience. Very different to others and nice and unique. Really well sung and delivered. Keep it up.
Jada Autumn – Excellent performance, but try and commit even more to it as you are doing all the right moves at the right times, but you just need to give them a bit more commitment. You would achieve greater projection if you held the mic a lot closer to your mouth, click here for more on microphone techniques. Good vocal performance but you need to own the stage more. Could have interacted a bit more with the audience, click here for advice on stage performance tips for singers.
Ella-Rose – Nice song to select but look to play around with it more a bit of a change up and take it down to give it more dynamics, click here for tips on music dynamics. Great styling and a solid start. You have a very good voice but your breathing is not helping you project, so work on your breathing techniques to be even stronger. A beautiful performance though.
Lashayah – Well coordinated image with the performers. A good connection to the song and conveying that emotion in the song to us the audience. Commit more to the performance and use that non mic hand more and with purpose, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. Great mic technique and great vocal control. A well delivered performance, well done.
Matilda – Would have liked to have had a different song choice as it is hard to impress with such big song we’ve heard so many times before, click here for tips on good audition songs. Make sure you develop your own tone vocally. A solid performance with good control. Try and work on your projection to be even stronger.
