Arion - Sounded cool but the performance between performers was a bit messy. Track has potential and Arion gives a strong front man role, just need to pipe down the other two a little to look a little more professional but good passion at the same time. Good energy in the performance. Catchy melody and good vocal. Liked the audience participation. Needs polishing but there’s commercial potential.
Charlotte Rose - You have a lovely vocal but you’ve picked quite a common song choice to pick and would have been good to see your own twist on the song. Click here good audition songs and click here for tips on how to do music covers. Great vocal. Remember to show the audience you emotion you feel from the song.
Daisy O’Donnell - Nice idea to do an acoustic version, gave it your own spin. Having said that the song has been kicked to death the last 5 years or more. I know the song is poker face but you can bring more colour to the performance click here for more on facial expressions whilst singing. Intense performance, great image. Not sure about the guitar accompaniment.
Danielle McGreevy - Good song choice something a bit different! You used the stage well and commanded the stage click here for more on stage presence. Great attention to image. You nailed it! Good build of tension and vocal delivery. You gave a strong performance, enjoyed it.
ELI - Using a loop pedal can have his place and make you unique but the key is getting the backing played in quickly and correctly click here for how to use a loop pedal. The track has a nice vibe and easy flow. Don’t forget your eye contact which at times was a little sparring. Smashed it, great performance (Mark Hill). I want to own this song and your voice on a CD! Captured the audience. A lot of promise in this act!
Emma Nicholson - You could have committed with more attitude, especially with the rap, as the song gives you that vibe and attitude to do it. You slip from having an accent and then not, look to be yourself you are good enough! Click here for more on how to do music covers. One of the strongest acts in the competition. Great performance and stage presence.
Flame Elation - You both sing wonderfully but probably need to build in more layered harmonies you were singing the same lines too much. Also look to commit more to the stage performance. Good energy and movement. The interaction between the two of you was great. Secure technically and confident.
Georgia - You got a real good rhythm going to make it really original. Very engaging performance click here for more on performing with musical keyboards. Your individuality is clearly evident. Consider backing musicians! Amazing song choice and a very solid performance. Amazing hair, if I had hair, I’d like that (Andy Baker).
Abi Hudson - You connected well emotionally to the song and conveyed it well! A passionate and emotion filled song. Really impressed with your performance. Well used phrasing and musically secure. You were expressive throughout.
Kara Mae - Great operatic performance, just take care as you develop to find yourself and your personality on stage as you have a super vocal. Try and bring more presence and command the stage more which is easily achieved with more performance which will build your confidence to do this. Technically strong, you suited the genre. Very good foundation, but aim for a more individual/commercial style. Amazing range and control. Work on connecting more to the audience, make us feel it more.
Kiera Battersby - From the start you need to give more of an expression, you have a lovely vocal but you are giving very little facial expression click here for more on facial expressions whilst singing. More performance will build the confidence to express yourself more and command the stage. A budding and more talented Sophie Ellis Bextor! Good delivery Keira!
Lois Keavey - Liked that you tried to make it different and your own, click here for more on how to do music covers. Try and give us more of you, too little eye contact and expression click here for the importance of how to sing with emotion. Highly individual! You remind me of Florence. Big vocal range!
Mayah Lewis - Vocally you have lovely tone, just take care to be consistent across both high and low notes. Don’t forget to use all the tools in your armoury, one being using your eyes. Loved the violin to give you a unique edge. Great version of the song. Great image and lovely tone!
Melissa Severn - Your performance is very engaging and the song is a line or two from being a real potential hit. Lyrics and style is engaging and easy to relate too. Great original song, delivered with confidence and engagement.
Nathanael - Bags of potential, perhaps the direction is to have a band backing you. Another really strong performance from Nathanael. Stage wise you have a good presence perhaps need to be a bit more constructive. Great look! You’ve got a good gravelly rock vocal. Be more confident in your ability, the crowd are on your side! Shout readers would love you (Laura Brown)!
Olivia - You picked a beautiful song to cover and sung it with great control. A faultless vocal the one criticism is that you could have demonstrated more originality, click here for more on how to do music covers. You created and sustained a mood which was captivating! Outstanding vocal- you’ve made a fan! Don’t forget to move around a little, rather than being rooted to the spot.
Olli Ingall - Song was good but flowed so well a little unnoticed and you needed to build in a few more hooks, click here for more advice on writing that killer pop chorus. Get out there gigging and you’ll develop so much! A young Elvis Costello? Brilliant voice- could listen to you all day. There is potential here- keep at it!
Sam Clark - The performance would have benefitted from a wider range of dynamics, slowing it down in places and adding more projection for the chorus amongst click here for more on music dynamics. Enjoyable and a little bit dinner, many aspects to this delivery- one to watch.
Savanna Caprice Lee - You saved your best performance for the Grand Final! More confident and more passionate than previous rounds for a really hard song to sing. Just watch your timing to be on point. Great feel to the performance. Loved your look. Well worthy of your place in the final! Impressive technically and high individual.
Seda Mertdjan - Loved the mix you picked to cover, it’s a great song. You sung it really well to make it a really enjoyable performance. You’ve got a lovely voice. Would love to see more of your personality shine through in your singing. Great version of the song- you nailed it!
Sleeping Secrets – Audience participation is a brave thing to opt for, it doesn’t always work, click here for audience participation, and you really knew how to get the crowd going! Good version of the song, would just slow it down a tad to show off your vocal more.
Sophia Alexa - Sounds great but look to commit more to the performance, click here for more on facial expressions whilst singing. And also how to sing with emotion. Sensitive, soulful and sweet. Well done Sophia! Nice delicate version of the song! You’ve got a good look.
WE!ARE – You have a fantastic vocal! Lovely vibe and feel to the track. Nice vocal tone. The sound of your voice is beautiful. Liked the way you came on to the stage! Very accomplished performance. Tasteful guitar work. Good stage presence.
