Milton Keynes Talent Show: The Regional Final for the Milton Keynes Talent Show took place at The Milton Keynes Christian Centre this weekend where the best pre-teen singers came to impress a capacity crowd and music industry judges.

Eleonara Sorriento – Confident voice. Great potential now you can look to develop the projection in the voice and add performance using the stage and working the audience especially in the instrumental sections. Click here for voice projection and stage performance tips. Very nice and composed but try to let loose a little more.
Lily Rose – Get close to that mic as it’s affecting your projection, click here for microphone techniques. Don’t be afraid to use your hands and perform more. A good vocal coach will also assist you in your vocal control and tuning to be even better, click here for the importance of vocal training. A very nice start but a few tuning issues. Practise on your breathing a bit more which will help with the performance.
Naomi – Loved that you performed with the keys to create a sensitive and well connected performance emotionally. Your expression was good; don’t be frightened to commit even more to that. As performers on stage connect with each other a little even a little glance or smile with each other can be engaging, click here for tips on singing groups. Try not to speed up and slow down as at times it was slightly out on the high notes but overall well done. Nice to see such an emotional performance.
Sophie Weatherby – Need to blank everything out and just focus on what you need to do. The more you perform the more confidence and experience you will gain. Look to commit more to the performance and even more so in the instrumental sections, click here for more on music instrumentals. Try to slow down and relax more to stay in key.
Grace – You have ability but watch you vocal control as you are wavering out of tune on occasions. Also look to develop your mic control, click here for microphone techniques. A good vocal coach can assist you to be even better by developing these areas, click here for the importance of vocal training. Your image was spot on and you looked lovely. Don’t be afraid to move around the stage more.
Jessica Richardson – Liked you used the stage but take care to be more natural and not to be too mechanical. Connecting with the music will help assist to develop this also. Try and work the dynamics of the song too to really expand the range, vary the tone and delivery, click here for more on music dynamics. A good performance though a little nasal.
Ella May – Proving to be a popular song choice this year, click here for advice on good audition songs. You had very clear diction and lovely tone. Look to add more performance which you need to commit more to going forward. Also on the same lines use the stage click here for more stage performance tips. Try to interact with the audience more.
Layla – You gave good eye contact with the audience which helped us to connect with you as a performer. Performance on stage will develop to be more natural as more stage miles are clocked up. Remain focused on delivering the notes throughout rather than going light at times. Look to work on your breathing which is essential for a big number like this one, click here for breathing exercises for singing. You come across very likeable on stage, so well done and keep it up.
Lucy – Your smiley performance made it a very engaging performance, don’t ever change that. Vocally watch you control and timing, at times you are becoming too shouty rather than remaining in control, click here for more on voice projection. A great image for you.
Thomas Dunleavy – Great that you committed to the performance from the off, winning across the audience almost immediately but take care not to force it. Song is catchy and engaging; make sure you remain clear with the diction throughout, click here for more on singing diction. Be careful that you do not overcook it. A great song, so well done.
Blessing More – Liked you committed to the performance moves. Vocally lots of potential but needs to develop your projection and tone which will no doubt develop naturally in time, click here for voice projection. Very confident and a cute performance.
MegE – You have a nice tone but look to develop your projection as need to look to strengthen your range and power, click here for voice projection. Liked you performed in the instrumental section but try and make it more natural and less mechanical. More performance will improve this. The song choice was not the correct one so be careful in future as this can be key.
Re-Mix – Your image was sweet. The choreography was good and was clearly a very well worked out routine. Vocally watch your tuning throughout and make sure you don’t force the vocals. The harmonies were good at times, just need tightening up. Work on your projection as some parts came across as shouting, click here for advice on voice projection.
Lauren Star – You have a crisp mature vocal with a lovely tone. Don’t be frightened to commit even more to using the stage for what in the main was an impressive sensitive performance. Try not to let the nerves get the better of you; click here for overcoming performance anxiety.
Annabel Caws – Lots of potential and you moved around the stage nicely. Try and commit to the performance and using the stage with more purpose. Vocally make sure you don’t force it and lose control. A vocal coach will help you with this more.

Ellie-Rose – When performing make sure it doesn’t affect your mic control, you are moving away from the mic and the volume is dipping, also ensure you don’t jump into words as it spikes the volume click here for more on developing microphone techniques. Great you’re performing the actions now add moving around the stage. Try and work on your lower register.
Charlie Dillon – Great that your expressing the emotion in the song, make sure you are always giving appropriate emotion to the words you are singing and don’t forget the overall tone of the song. Your facial expressions need to reflect this, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. You need some work on the tone of your vocals which will help with coaching.
Brooke Gess - Nice crisp vocals and lots of potential to really develop into a fantastic singer. You connected well with the song and vocally one of the best of the day. It is time to work on your individuality to put your own stamp on things.
Miriam – You have a powerful vocal but difficult to show personality when you do a show number as you need to be that character and not yourself. Phoebe Anderson – Liked you were performing but commit too it even more and especially in the instrumental section. Don’t forget to use that stage click here for more information on improving stage presence. A different song choice so well done for picking something unusual. A very confident performance and a real audience entertainer.
Jada Autumn – You have a lovely tone and using dynamics varying the volume delivery and tone you can bring even more character to the performance. Try and act out the emotion in your face too click here for more on facial expressions and gestures whilst singing.
Lashayah – A strong confident performance you really owned the stage. Commit more to the performance moves especially in the instrumental sections; click here for tips on music instrumentals. Make sure you don’t force that vocal and lose control as you did at the end.
