Johnny Brown – You have a cool lazy manner along with a punch to your vocal. Nice vocal range with good control anbd projection. It would be great to start to hear you find your own sound and start being creative with the cover and/or writing your own music, click here for more on being creative with a cover.
Emma Nicholson – Great vocals with strong control and projection. To be even better look to commit even more to the performance, it needs more attitude and use that stage more, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers.
Lois Keavey – Loved that you made the cover your own, it was so different and creative and totally spot on, well done! Great vocal control and a good connection emotionally to the song, just try and give us a little more eye contact to connect even more with your audience, click here for advice on performing with musical keyboards.
Rosie Thomson – You have a lovely vocal but try and work the boundaries of the song to extend your dynamic range, vary your projection and range to give more impact when you require, click here for tips on music dynamics. As with most stage numbers it is difficult to be original as you are playing a character rather than yourself, so try and work on developing your own orginality, performing a different type of song may help you express that more.
Jack Stark – As a male acoustic it is probably best to steer very clear of Ed Sheeran otherwise you risk being dubbed as an impressionist rather than as an original act, click here for more on being creative with a cover. Try working on your diction and mic technique as it was hard to hear what you were sayng at times, click here for tips on singing diction and click here for more on microphone techniques. The guitar playing was your strength in the performance.
Chutz – A very confident performance. You performed and commanded the stage well, just try and commit even more to the performance. Good vocal range and projection, however try and work the dynamics more so you give even more range and it can continue to build to finish on even more of a high, click here for tips on music dynamics.
Ellie Crumlish – A confident performance with a good use of the stage and a nice image, however the backing track sounded slightly weird at the start, so make sure you get the best quality backing track you can. The song didn’t really feel like it suited the sweeter tone in your vocal, click here for tips on good audition songs. Developing your breathing technique will help with your pitching as it was a bit flat at times.
Olivia – Nice song choice and super vocal, however it seemed that the nerves got the better of you at the start. As you warmed into the performance you became more confident, and more performances will develop your confidence, but click here for advice on how to overcome the nerves. Try and get more intensity in your eyes and expression to be even better, click here for facial expressions and gestures whilst singing. You have a sharp look so look to be bolder with your stage image.
Georgia – This is the song of the moment which is great that you are singing current songs, however we have heard this song a lot, so it is important to choose a song that is more original and will make you stand out more, click here for tips on good audition songs and click here for more on being creative with a cover. Look to work that stage more, click here for more on stage performance tips for singers.
Kara Mae – Nice song choice however this is a song that needs lots of dynamics for a massive build up at the end, click here for tips on music dynamics. Strong vocal range and good control but look to develop your projection so you can deliver that killer ending to be even better.
Simon Weatherspoon – A confident performance with a good use of the stage, however it needed more dynamics to keep us interested throughout, click here for tips on music dynamics. You have a good voice and nice falsetto, however your vocal at times didn’t hold through the adlibs and ladders in the breakdown which needs to be nailed, so look to work on developing that to be even stronger.
Jason Allan – Great projection and a confident performance, but as a male acoustic it is probably best to steer very clear of Ed Sheeran otherwise you risk being dubbed as an impressionist rather than as an original act, click here for more on being creative with a cover. Try and slow down and look to find your own song and style not someone elses. You have a good look just think about being more original!
Sacha Taylor – Great song choice! You had our attention from the very start, good eye contact and facial expression, just take care not to keep playing with your hair and commit more to the performance. Vocally you have great power, projection and control. The performance just needed a bit of a change up towards the back end to finish the an overall performance, click here for tips on music dynamics.
Josh Berrington – Good performance and vocals, but try and find your own voice and original style. This song is so distinct you need to do it in a completely different way to make it original, click here for more on being creative with a cover. Try working on your mic technique as this will help strengthen your projection, click here for more on microphone techniques.
Amber Heyes – The song choice is ambitious and it is a very hard song to sing. You need to work on developing your control so the transitions are more balanced and don't go flat especially on the lower notes, click here for tips on good audition songs. Nice image and good projection though.
Flame Elation – You have nice tones to your vocals and you harmonise well. Good dong choice but it would have been good to hear you change it around a little click here for more on being creative with a cover. Loved the image!
Mackenzie – Not convinced that the song choice was right for your vocal as it didn’t highlight the sweeter tones in your vocal range enough and you slipped out of key at times. You need to develop support in your top notes more. Liked the arrangement of the song and the rap section was the best part of the performance, however it is a really hard song to sing so click here for tips on good audition songs.
Aaron Smith – A very confident and polished performance with a nice vocal range and good projection. Going forward let’s see more originality, show us who your are as an original artist.
