The music industry judges the Bristol singers wanted to impress were:
Bristol Singers Wanted Regional Final was rounded off by our special guest, Open Mic UK’s 2014 winner, Richi Jones.

Olivia McNeill – Very confident performance and a lovely image to match! You have lots of potential and did the song justice but it’s very difficult to impress with such an iconic song sung by such an iconic lady, click here for more on good audition songs and how to do music covers. You have the vocal power but watch the control don’t force it.
Shaniyah – A nice husky vocal as always it’s very difficult to impress with such an iconic song sung by such an iconic lady, click here for more on good audition songs and how to do music covers. Having said that, you committed to performance albeit bordering and going over the limit of losing control of your vocals.
Sasha – Lots of potential but you were losing key on occasions, which is nothing a good vocal coach wouldn’t be able to assist you with developing, click here for the importance of vocal training. Good to see you take the mic off the stand but commit more to the performance and use the stage more and perform till the end.
Amber Skye – The song was good but it needed to flow more, I’d look to pick the tempo up more and add more dynamics, click here for advice on music dynamics. The lyrics are good but it needs hooks to keep it catchy, click here for more advice on writing lyrics. A well-controlled performance though.
Elena – You have lots of ability but the song choice and performance didn’t convey the emotion that the song has, click here for advice on how to sing with emotion. Commit more to the soul of the song. Lovely sound though, but just try to add more personality to the performance.
Shannon Williams – The problem with songs such as this is that it’s such an iconic song sung by such an iconic lady that it can be difficult to stand out, click here for advice on good audition songs. But you have so much ability and you now need to find yourself as an artist.
Savanna Caprice Lee – You have a different sound and a good choice to do a male cover but watch your control, click here vocal techniques for singers. Felt like a lot of passion and commitment in the performance. Great performance but a bit more control needed in places.
Cam & Will – Chugged only nicely but needed more dynamics to keep the interest going throughout, click here for more on music dynamics. Very solid performance overall but could do more visually.
Bea – Nice tone and nicely sung, look to develop the performance side it was a little stiff and static. Click here for tips on expression and facial expressions and gestures whilst singing and for more on stage performance tips click here. A nice voice but the nerves go the better of you.
DJ Jack Will – Think you should have read the feedback from the auditions. It is very much like a charity song. Male vocal/rapper you need to perform and commit to the performance. Loved the originality of the song.
Midlands & South West England Area Final - Saturday 23rd May Concourse suites 1 & 2, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, B40 1NT.
