Singing Auditions

TeenStar singing auditions are for pre-teen and teenage singers, duos, vocal groups, rappers, freestylers and solo artists. Apply online and, if successful, you will be invited to sing/perform live at an audition at one of the most prestigious music venues in the UK. Enter the competition now and secure your audition.

AUDITIONS FOR SOLO SINGERS, DUOS AND GROUPS

You’ll be auditioning for a place in the TeenStar Regional Final Showcases which will be at the best music venue in your region. The singing showcase will also include a special guest performance, which in the past for Open Mic UK has included Shola Ama, Lucy Spraggan and Hatty Keane. The special guest performance will bring the showcases to a roaring climax in front of music industry judges as well as the general public. Within the competition you can expect to see DJs who work for BBC Radio, Kiss FM and Choice FM, regional press and record labels, with judges getting more prestigious as the singing competition progresses.

SOLO SINGERS, DUOS AND GROUPS ENTER NOW

All audition dates above are for singers, duos and groups. On the day of the audition you will be asked to prepare a performance of up to 2 minutes and no longer (we recommend that you keep instrumentals and intros to a minimum and perform the best part of your song at the start). It's all about first impressions at auditions so ensure you take attention to your image and always put the best of your song in the intro for maximum impact! I.e, consider beginning with the chorus. The auditions are closed to the public and will be in front of a professional judging panel. Hundreds of acts audition each day and are allocated times across the whole day to avoid unnecessary waiting around and congestion.

If you intend to sing a cover, try and perform it in your own style as the competition welcomes individuality. If singing a cover, you may perform with up to two instruments as backing, or sing accapella.

For those intending to sing their own original material (i.e a song they have written), you may bring a CD backing track, or with up to two backing instruments, or sing accapella if you wish. Please have it in mind to keep your set up as simple as possible to avoid eating into your audition time.

Singers and acts will be auditioning for a place in the TeenStar Regional Final Showcase so make an impression and hopefully you’ll bag a place in the live shows. Ensure your audition date and time is in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there! Aspiring solo artists, vocal groups and duos...enter now!

If in the event that you are ill or unable to make the nearest audition to you, please contact webteam@TeenStarCompetition.co.uk to arrange an audition elsewhere, and if you are successful in your audition we will endeavour to place you into the Regional Final Showcase closest to you.
