SINGING CONTEST FOR TEENAGERS IN LONDON, HAYES – FEEDBACK FOR THE TEENSTAR 2013 LONDON, HAYES AUDITIONS!

Singing contest for teenagers in London, Hayes, TeenStar has provided music industry feedback for singers at the London, Hayes TeenStar auditions, which took place at the Beck Theatre. The 2013 auditions for the singing contest for teenagers in London, Hayes, saw the best teenage singers, songwriters and solo artists from London, Hayes and its surrounding areas take to the stage in their bids to impress a music industry judging panel and capacity crowd. With a place in the TeenStar 2013 Regional Finals up for grabs the contestants who took part in the singing contest for teenagers in London, Hayes had a lot to play for!

Judging the singing contest for teenagers in London, Hayes were ‘Iam Music & Pop Girl’s Presenter Arielle Free, Musical Theatre and Entertainment agent Claudia Keston, Vocal Tutor Sabrina Findlay, A- Tonal studio producer Peter Kakolyris, and Head of A&R at Future Music Chris Grayston.

SINGING CONTEST FOR TEENAGERS IN LONDON, HAYES – PRE-TEEN CATEGORY

Max Kendix – Good potential. Try and engage with the audience more and remember your performance.

Sabrina Hamitouche – Confident and clear diction which was pleasing.

Katie-Jayne Bays – Performed well and nice idea to be accompanied as helped you relax.

Sadie Westwood - Good rendition of Jessie J. Felt like you made a good effort to make it your own.

Mimi Yates – Big song to choose, be aware to pick songs that you don’t get compared to the original artist too much.

Pik n’ Mix - Nice work making the assorted songs mash up, the more harmonies the better.

Roberto Fernando – Nice tone, try and flow a little better. I’m sure a backing track will help with this.

William Oghene – Came across a little rushed initially and struggled a little on the high notes so maybe look to work on those.

Isabelle Mason – Lovely vocal. Picked a difficult song and did it justice.

Prophett Sullivan – Good to see you perform. Try and project yourself more.

Gaby Foulsham- Loved the high notes. Try to slow down and take it easy.

Mimi Evans- So adorable! Keep trying. Well done on being so brave!

Samar Mouatakef-  Interesting tone, lovely song choice. Great control.

Venice Alyson- Big Song! Well done. Great projection. Be careful with the low notes.

Diaz Banga- Liked the idea of changing the lyrics. Try writing your own music too! Work on your projection.

Amar Mukherjee- You’re so sweet! Lovely voice and unusual song choice. Keep practicing.

Yasmin Poku- Nice acoustic version. Lovely clear voice. Work on your performance.

Natalie Rivilla- You were really nervous! Keep practicing and don’t give up!

India Nugent- Well done! Great projection.

Arthur Franks- Big song and you did well. Nice top notes. Remember to relax and take your time.

Poppy Sutch- Great projection. Good song choice.

SINGING CONTEST FOR TEENAGERS IN LONDON, HAYES – 13-15 CATEGORY

Sarah Benbelaid- You have a wonderful control of your voice.

Leonne Sulivan – Nice tone, just practice more.

Taylor Allen- Strong and clear vocals.

Will Homewood – Watch the guitar tuning. Very confident and strong. Smile more!

Debbie Rawlins- This is a hard song. Be careful of your pitching.

Anastasia Harume- You seemed nervous, maybe pick another song next time.

Shaniah Williams- Wow! Great audition! Energetic and confident.

Veronica Sagyaman- You have good control of your top notes. Keep working!

Tanece Hamilton- Be careful of your pitching. Keep working on improving your vocals.

Joel Nwoseh- Classic soul voice!

Annabelle & Elena – Really different, really impressive just be aware that when it comes to the shows if your  on the floor the performance won’t be seen too easily.

Amber Meghani- Not an easy song to sing, so well done.

Saffron Silva- Confident, powerful and well pitched. Well done!

Hayley Leech- You started off confident. Make sure you watch your timing and pitching.

Gustaf Sandefeldt- Strong vocals, confident and clear.

Amani Hussain- Sweet voice and some great control. Work on your projection.

Eloise Vilanou- Watch your pitching. Maybe sing something more suited to your tone.

Katarina Koneta- Interesting song choice. Powerful and full of character.

Rina Vashi- You have a strong voice, be careful of pitching and timing.

Connie Shacklock- Interesting song choice. You seemed nervous. You did a really good job, keep singing.

Amelia Rose- Strong vocals. Keep singing.

Darcey Carlile- I felt the guitar made it more difficult for you to focus on your singing.  Good acoustic version.

Izzy Spyrou- Loved how you changed a real heavy rock song and made it acoustic. Well done!

Lydia and Lucy- Nice original song. Maybe add more harmonies. Your voices worked well together.

Treacle- Good control. Be careful with the guitar, it could take over your words.

Keely Fox- Steady timing and pitching. I wanted to see more emotion.

Adriana Dineva- Strong voice. Didn’t expect that in the chorus!

Tiffany Corley- Lots of potential, watch out on the lower notes- they need more power.

Bella & Shiva- Lovely harmonies! You need to work on your volume,

Shamoose Alaa- Hard song, pitchy in places. But there is definitely potential there!

Jamie Erivona- Smooth tone, lots of potential. Engage more with your song.

Hujat Battashy- Strong and confident. Try not to go overboard wit the vocal decorations.

Effy White- Jazzy tones to your voice. Nice song choice and good improvisation. Well done.

Savannah Gevell- Great, strong vocals. Very confident.

Harriet Millier- Nice change to the song.

Amber Munir- You’re much stronger in your upper range. Love the vibrato in your vocals.

Phoebe Harris- Sweet voice, could do with a little more projection.

Megan Doyle- Love your style. Good tone, be careful not to rush your song.

Nadia Patel- Needed more light and shade.

Janiequa Quomina- Good sound, cute song. Good performance.

Olaf Stando- Too speechy, needed to sing more.

Yvonne Chibueze- Too much vibrato, would be better with less breath and pronunciation. You mumbled a little.

Samia Abdi- Good song. Nice voice and good performance.
