Seventh Note – Walking around on stage was a good idea but it looked a little messy and there was way too much looking around. A few more smiles would be nice! Good job on your harmonies.
Molly Millard – A committed performance. Good emotion and performance. Remember to use that stage. Good voice. Now you need to work on your image as an artist.
Lucy Simmonds – Strong voice, good performance. Has star quality! Good connection to the music, and great control. Perhaps look to use your body and movements to convey even more emotion from the song – you were a little static on stage when you could be using stage left and right to convey even more to the audience.
Jasmine – You always sing with a smiley face and you use that stage to the maximum effect. It’d be nice to see you start to play around with the tracks to make them your own. As well as you do this, we have heard you do this before! Great vocal control - one the best singers in the show as always but time to go to the next level!
Miriam Nyariko – Great confidence and commitment. A natural performer! Song was perhaps a bit too “mature” for you. Mic control was polished. Overall a really strong, polished performance.
Alice Spinks – Liked that you made the song your own, despite it being a very popular song choice. Movement on stage was good and you had a good connection to the song. Great improvement from your Reading Regional Final performance. Beautiful natural tone.
Sadie – Lovely vocals! Watching yourself in your video after will help you to work on bringing more expression to your face to convey the emotion in the song. Take the mic off the stand and show the passion! The performance improved greatly when you switched to a full voice. The song seemed to be in the wrong key for your voice.
Theresa Delaney – Powerful voice for someone so young. What she lacks in vocal control she more than makes up with passion. Look to work with a vocal coach to learn how to control your vocal as the passion and connection to the music is there. In particular don’t force the vocal as it affects your pitch! Perform as much as you can so that moving around on the stage becomes second nature and not forced.
Charlotte Score – Good mic control and a good song choice although one we have heard a lot this year. Look to use that stage more and act out the emotion in the song. Good style and image.
Janna Louise Ajon – It’s all there, you just need to let go a bit more and really connect with the emotion in the song. It felt a bit awkward with the instrumental breakdown so remember to perform throughout and work out what you are going to do at all time.
Luke Brackstone – The mash-up was really good and very easy on the ear. An original song choice. Take care with the pitch. You have a commanding stage presence although performance wise you need to learn to incorporate more facial expressions into the performance. You have some star quality!
Chloe Gould – Nice work using the stage as you did. Awesome delivery - your vocal control was strong. The song choice was a bit dated. Commit more to the performance, you are doing the right things but not committing fully to them.
Jika – Take care to not go to parts of the stage that aren’t that lit up otherwise we can’t see you. Look to work on bringing more facial expression to the performance which more performance experience will bring. Great vocal tone!
Gabriel Gros – Good expression and good vocal control. The song has been covered to death though. Take care not to over-labour and force the performance, just tone down a little on that and you’ll be spot on. Great voice, look and performance.
Josh – A born star! Great performance - it sounded great on the ear. Josh has a lovely tone to his vocal, Now focus on your mic control throughout as you pulled away too much at partsyou’re your vocal dropped out. Musically the guitar and keys worked really well together. Such a cool dude, well-rehearsed.
Ellicia DW – You committed well to the song. Watch your timing though. Wasn’t sure the song choice suited the nicer tones of your vocal and perhaps you needed more projection. A good vocal coach will be able to assist you in developing all of those areas to be even better.
Roddy – Lovely vocal tone – you have a beautiful voice which will only get better with age! You’ve got a nice little natural vibrato going on! The area to work on is the performance – try to use that stage more to really convey the emotion in the song.
Abby Murphy – She worked the stage so well and acted the song emotionally way beyond her years! Watch your mic control and commit to every note as sometimes the diction and projection could have been stronger. Your look and song were well chosen for your age.
Liberty Grant – Great performance. Make sure to pick a song you can “sing” on! You acted out the song well and you can feel the power is there with the vocals. Keep focused on giving eye contact throughout to create an even better connection with the audience.
Alexandra Maks – Your costume was fantastic, although you could have made more of it with some more commitment to performance moves. Remember to perform throughout the performance. Vocally you need to just work on improving your projection to be even better. Great look and great song choice!
Eliza Culley – Lovely, unique voice. Creative take on the song. Confident performance – you looked very comfortable on stage and I loved that you made the song your own but you struggled to control in particular at the higher notes. Make sure you warm up properly beforehand!
KT – What a brave girl to come out again and smash it! Great recovery, well done. There’s no need to be nervous – you have great vocals and give a strong delivery. Remember to perform throughout - even in the instrumental sections. Be careful not to force the vocal and lose your pitching.
Jahna Lucero – Very original, well done! Liked the change up in tempo and rapping to make it your own. Great image. Just need to keep working hard with developing the vocals so you have more control.
Sophie Elise – Original voice. Work on your stage presence to take your performance up a level. You have a very sweet tone but now could do with working on your projection which a good vocal coach will be able to help you with.
Georgina Nimmo – Strong finish! There’s great potential here, just try not to force your vocal.
